Gear up: Gas prices are climbing again.
Metro Detroit motorists were muttering "here we go again," as gas prices edged up Monday and are poised to soar in the near future. The local price at the pump has risen 9 cents since the Fourth of July, to an average price of $3.13 for a gallon of regular on Monday, according to AAA Michigan. The experts warn consumers to brace for hikes of a dime or more, and possibly soon.
