Ford?s Advanced Headlamp Idea

Great idea out of Germany although I suspect the US DOT will probably get in the way. Prototype headlamps provide a picture of the road ahead not available today. Driving at night across much of the wide open Midwest and west can be a nerve-wracking experience thanks to the unpredictable nature of animals. To combat that anxiety, Ford is prototyping a new lighting technologies that will enable drivers to more easily identify hazards, including pedestrians, cyclists and especially animals.
