Dingell wants fuel economy documents.
WASHINGTON -- U.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, turned up the heat on the White House on Thursday over its proposal to require automakers to dramatically increase the fuel efficiency of their vehicle fleets. Dingell asked that key documents used to create the proposed changes to the Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards for cars and trucks be turned over by Feb. 1.
