DENSO?s Lower Cost Air Intake Throttle and EGR Valve for Turbo Diesels
World?s first to integrate both the air intake throttle valve and EGR valve in half the size of a conventional unit. DENSO has developed an air intake and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve combo unit, a major component of EGR systems that helps make turbo diesel engine emissions cleaner. The new unit, the first in the world to integrate an air intake throttle valve and an EGR valve, is half the size of conventional models and requires fewer components at a reduced cost. Denso said it will first be used in a turbo diesel passenger vehicle of unknown make or model sold in Europe sometime later this year.
