Tora Tora Tora

The first movie I ever went to see by myself at the age of 8 was Tora Tora Tora. The theater was the Lake in downtown Clear Lake, Iowa which still exists today as pictured behind the 2011 Honda CR-Z we drove their back in 2011. Tora Tora Tora is a 1970 American-Japanese war film that dramatizes the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Isoroku Yamamoto's famous quote, saying the attacks would only serve to "... awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve", although it may have been apocryphal. The title is the Japanese code-word used to indicate that complete surprise was achieved.
