Carmakers ramp up production and sales in China.

China's auto sales and production for the first 10 months of this year both beat last year's totals for the same period, buoyed by new models and price drops, a report said yesterday. Carmakers in China sold 5.76 million units between January and October, an increase of 25.69 percent from a year earlier, according to the China Association of Automobile Corp.
