The 2013 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty with the 6.7L Cummins s maximum trailer weight of 30,000 pounds surpasses closest competitor by 6,900 pounds! 2013 RAM 1500 ?Towing full size semi trailers comes next ;) Late last night Ram officially released its tow and GVWR for its 2013 line of Ram Heavy Duty pickups and Chassis Cab trucks. And yes, they released a 30,000 pound tow rating. WTF! According to RAM, their 3500 Heavy Duty pickup earned its 30,000-pound trailer towing capacity thanks to a new class-exclusive 50,000 psi, high-strength steel frame, improved transfer case, higher-load transmission, an upgraded 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.
