21 More MW of Wind Energy in Hawaii Completed
With its mild tropical climate, Hawaii has the third lowest per capita energy use in the Nation. The island chain also incorporates the world's largest commercial electricity generator fueled exclusively with biofuels and by 2025, should be able to provide upwards of 350 million gallons of ethanol. Hawaii is also just one of eight States with an installed geothermal capacity with 25 percent of its ?renewable? net electricity generation derived from geothermal energy.
