GM is Saving Energy One Light Bulb At A Time

Lighting destined to be installed at GM?s new Spring Hill, TN manufacturing facility. GM is expecting their Spring Hill Manufacturing complex in Spring Hill, TN to save nearly $800,000 annually simply by upgrading to high-efficiency lighting in the general assembly and new engine plant areas, both of which begin production later this year. Replacement of more than 4,000 fixtures with high-efficiency fluorescent lighting is estimated to save 8.5 million kWh of electricity per year ? equivalent to the energy needed to power 750 homes.
