VW?s Latest Beetle Becomes Fuel Efficient

The all-new Beetle gets a diesel boost. 2013 VW Beetle TDI ? Pricing TBA and will arrive sporting a 29/39 mpgUS city/highway rating. The new Volkswagen Beetle launched last year is receiving the famous VW TDI treatment. While sales of the new model are middling at best -- just 1,401 sold in January -- adding a fuel efficient engine to the lineup should help future sales in a time of high fuel costs. The Beetle TDI will go on sale this summer as a 2013 model.
