Honda?s solar cell subsidiary, Honda Soltec began sales back in late 2008 of its in-house developed thin-film solar cells for public and industrial use in Japan. Honda has been selling non-industrial home based solar cells since late 2007. Honda?s installation of a 9 kilowatt (kW) capacity solar power generation system at a Honda dealership in Tokyo kicks off a project to install Honda Soltec solar power generation.
