51 Down, 1 More to Go - Ford of UK - Fiesta around the World

We have been highlighting a number of Ford UK?s Centennial picture archives throughout the year and with just one more to go, Ford closes out the second to last picture just prior to Christmas with a good one. The winter of 1993-1994 saw a combination of Ford Mondeos and Ford Mavericks setting off from London to support an attempt to drive overland between London and New York via the Bering Strait. This overland (and ice) route did not prove successful but the team did find alternative means to reach Alaska and, eventually, New York. Is that ?[i]cool[/i]? or what!
