BEV Wars - Focus vs. LEAF

Rated All-electric Range bragging rights are but a piece of the picture. One of if not the first Ford Focus rolling off Ford?s energy efficient Wayne, MI Focus production facility earlier this week. Ford?s Wayne Michigan Assembly Plant is now producing the 2012 Focus Electric. According to Ford, the Focus Electric will be the first five-passenger (note the 112 MPGe rated Mitsubishi iMiEV is a four passenger BEV), battery electric vehicle (BEV) to achieve > 100 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) when compared directly to the LEAF?s current 99 MPGe rating.
