BMW?s i3 and i8 ? Special Preview in NY Prior to LA

2013 and 2014 BMW i3 and i8 ? Performance and fuel efficiency comingled like never before BMW will host a special preview event to unveil for the first time in North America what it considers to be the cars of the future, its i3 and i8 concept vehicles. These concepts represent the first purpose-built BEV and PHEV vehicles to be made primarily of carbon fiber when they become available in 2013 and 2014, respectively. The i3, previously known as the Megacity Vehicle, will be BMW?s first series-produced BEV focusing squarely on the mobility challenges in urban areas. The i8 on the other hand is a full blooded BMW PHEV sports car designed to have an extraordinary driving experience complemented by extremely low fuel consumption and emissions.
