Smithsonian Shows off Its Early Electrics
Some of the earliest cars were battery powered and today, the latest are too! The history of the automobile was more about battery electrics and the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History will have two "electrifying cars" from the early 20th century on display. We will start out with the 1904 Columbia electric that went on display last Thursday. To put the Columbia into perspective, [b]it was the best-selling U.S. car at the turn of the century[/b].
