Most Energy Efficient Car Available In America Belongs To an i
The i is rated for 112 MPGe and a 62-mile AER. Mitsubishi has designed its all-new Mitsubishi i BEV to deliver a best-in-segment "fuel" efficiency as determined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on a miles-per-gallon equivalency basis (MPGe). And it has done just that as the i earned its stripes with a manufacturer certified EPA-rating of 126 city/99 highway/112 MPGe combined. While the MPGe rating is high, the all-electric range (AER) of just 62-miles is somewhat disappointing. This is about as far as most cars can be driven aggressively after the low fuel light comes on.
