Nissan Testing BEV Roadside Charging Service

If your LEAF runs out of juice, it is not like you can add a gallon of gasoline... 2011 Nissan LEAF BEV ? $32,780 to start and 73-miles all-electric range. Right from Nissan?s own home grown PR group comes this interesting tidbit. Nissan and the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) announced a joint trial operation of a roadside service vehicle equipped with a charger to assist electric vehicles (BEVs) which run out of battery power. The trial service commences in Japan beginning tomorrow.
