Coca-Cola May Be Leading but Pepsi Steps up with Its Own 100% Recyclable Bo
World's first [b]100 %[/b] plant-based, renewably sourced PET bottle. Building upon its heritage as an environmental sustainable leader, PepsiCo announced that it too has developed a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) beverage plastic bottle that it is made entirely of plant-based, fully renewable resources that significantly reduces the companies carbon footprint. The difference is that PepsiCo's "green" bottle is [b]100 percent recyclable[/b] surpasses that of its Georgia based main rival. The bottle is made from bio-based raw materials, including switch grass, pine bark and corn husks.
