Honda?s Soltec Subsidiary Releases Enhanced Thin-film Solar Cell For 2011
A conversion efficiency of 13% makes it one of the world?s most efficient CIGS based modules. Honda Soltec is set to release a new thin-film solar cell with an even more compact design than the current module to allow efficient installation on a wider range of roof shapes. The module conversion efficiency of the new solar cell module is expected to exceed 13.0%, ranking it among the world?s most efficient CIGS-based (Solar cells consisting of a thin film made from a compound of copper, indium, gallium and selenium) thin-film solar cells according to Honda.
