NASA 'Greener' Climate Prediction model shows plants slow warming
CO2?s upward march continues unabated and for the first time in recorded history, the average mean CO2 concentration in the atmosphere as measured at Mauna Loa, Hawaii surpassed 290 ppm. A new NASA computer modeling effort has found that additional growth of plants and trees in a world with doubled atmospheric CO2 levels would create a new negative feedback ? a cooling effect ? in the Earth's climate system that could work to reduce future global warming.
