District among first to get PHEV bus.

U. NAZARETH TWP. - Forget about smelly emissions and high fuel bills. The Nazareth Area School District is buying one of the first 17 hybrid electric buses in the country, according to a press release from Jennings Transportation of Nazareth. Thirteen other school districts across the country will purchase buses through the Plug-in Hybrid Electric School Bus Project created by Advanced Energy, a nonprofit organization based in Raleigh, N.C., the release says.
