Hyundai?s first BEV, the 'BlueOn'

Hyundai jumped into the BEV game with a splash earlier today when they unveiled their first almost production ready Battery Electric Vehicle named ?BlueOn?. Hyundai unveiled the car at the Blue House in the presence of Korean President Lee Myung-Bak and Ministers from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Ministry of Environment. Hyundai invested an almost unheard of minimal amount of money into the project with an outlay of what was reported to be just $34 Million USD over a one year period to create the BlueOn. It is based on Hyundai?s small hatchback, the i10.
