Opel running extra shifts and hiring anew
The 200,000th Opel Insignia was built at the Opel plan in R?sselsheim. A good reason to celebrate as the European "Car of the Year 2009" remains in strong demand. Opel/Vauxhall will be hiring up to 250 engineers for its International Technical Development Center in R?sselsheim to help with the extra work as part of the brand?s bold product offensive. The company has previously announced it will invest $14.8 Billion USD to reinvigorate 80 percent of its model line-up by 2014. Among the projects is the introduction of new automobile concepts, like the Ampera PHEV (European Volt) which will come to market across Europe next year.
