MACK?s Econodyne engine improves fuel efficiency under demanding situations
MACK MP7 and MP8 Ecodyne: Fuel Economy improvements were not specified. The latest generation MACK Trucks Econodyne engine family for highway applications delivers more torque at low engine speeds for improved fuel efficiency and hill pulling performance. The new Econodyne uses an intelligent torque management strategy, called EconoBoost, that gives drivers the extra power to keep vehicle speed constant under full engine loads in order to avoid downshifting. The new Econodyne is now available with the MACK MP7 and MP8 series engines in the MACK Pinnacle model highway tractor. All Mack MP series engines are certified to the near-zero EPA 2010 emissions requirements.
