While it was predicted we would reach Peak Oil in or around 2012, the 2-year Global Recession has given us a slight reprieve. As the world recovers from the down turn, the facts remain and without a massive shift in fossil fuel consumption or the US beginning to mine and refine its massive shale or coal reserves for liquid fuels, the recession we just faced may prove to be nothing by comparison to what is about to take place.
