Opel Ampera, the Volt in Opel clothing, is charged up for Geneva
The first prototype of the production Ampera received its initial charge from the newly installed recharging station at Opel?s headquarters. The Ampera extended-range electric vehicle will use the energy stored in its 16 kWh Li-Ion battery to drive the first stage of the 372 miles journey from R?sselsheim, Germany, to the Geneva Auto Show in Switzerland. At the wheel will be Opel/Vauxhall Director of Electric Vehicle Implementation, Gherardo Corsini.
