Week ending Jan. 22, 2008 ? Crude settles below $75 with gasoline and diese

Gasoline averaged $2.74 for the week and should all further in the weeks ahead. Crude Oil Benchmark Crude for March delivery settled below key support of $75 per barrel on Friday after government figures showed the United States continues to use less energy than last year. The Energy Information Administration reported that demand for both gasoline and jet fuel both weakened over the past three weeks.
