Dakar 2010: A triumph for KTM with 2 on the podium

Yesterday, KTM-supported rider Cyril Despres earned victory in the 2010 Dakar Rally after racing over 5,580 miles of the roughest and most desolate terrain while crossing both Argentina and Chile. He rode into Buenos Aires to complete his third Dakar victory and the ninth consecutive victory for KTM motorcycles. Despres, who completed the 438 mile final stage including a 128-mile timed special of fast track riding to finish the stage in a comfortable eighth place. He was five minutes and 5 seconds behind the winner of the day but an easy overall winner of the 2010 event.
