Heading south The new best mark for fuel consumption was logged yesterday by the A3 1.6L TDI. German journalists Michael Specht and Oliver Strohbach drove the 257 miles averaging 73.5 mpgUS. When the figures were announced in the evening, all the journalists and staff cheered! The bad? Thick cloud cover, heavy rains and strong, biting winds were the tour?s constant companion on day 2 as well :(
