Crude and gasoline arereasonably stable

Californian?s pay on average the highest price of any other region at $3.15 per gallon. On Friday, the price for a barrel of crude closed at $72.04 per barrel, down $0.43 on the widely followed NYMEX. Crude prices are still trading within a very tight trading band with what appears to be $67 on the downside and $75 on the upside as has been the case all summer. On the supply side, Stockpiles of crude oil fell by 4.7 million barrels to 332.8 million last week according to the EIA weekly update. Even with the modest decline, crude stockpiles are over 7 percent higher than the five-year, weekly moving average.
