Euro Focus BEV racing on Leno tonight

2009 European Focus BEV ? Li-Ion equipped with 141 HP on tap and an 80-mile AER. A European sourced Ford Focus BEV will appear tonight on "The Jay Leno Show" in a segment call "Green Car Challenge." A European five-door production Focus ST was delivered to Ford's world headquarters in Dearborn, MI and immediately afterwards, Ford engineers went to work removing the traditional engine and gas tank and installing an entirely new all-electric powertrain ? all just six weeks. With Recaro racing seats, a full roll cage, a five-point racing harness and wearing a unique (and fitting) "Electric Orange" paint scheme, the battery-electric Focus ST is ready for racing.
