Ulm, Germany -- Daimler launches car2go, an inner city car sharing service as easy to use as a mobile phone for registered users. Daimler is the first manufacturer to fully support its own car sharing solution with plans to move aggressively into cities around the world including the US. A 50-vehicle pilot program was launched last October whose aim was to test the Car sharing programs technical systems and gather initial experience with acceptance, user behavior, and effort for service in practical operation.
