VW Passat ? Chinese FCV conversion brought to the US
Herndon, VA -- Volkswagen announced that 16 VW Passat? s in cooperation with Chinese Lingyu vehicles will participate in fleet demonstrations at the California Fuel Cell Partnership in Sacramento, CA. These prototype vehicles were developed in China and debuted at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The Passat- Lingyu FCV?s are being added to the existing fleet of eight Volkswagen FCVs also at the California Fuel Cell Partnership. In total, these 24 vehicles will create the largest fleet of fuel cell cars from a single manufacturer at one location anywhere in the world.
