Ford receives MI tax credits for Battery development

2009 FEH PHEV-30 ? Up to 120 mpg over the first 30-miles in urban driving conditions. Dearborn, MI ? Ford received a $55 million in refundable tax credits through the new Michigan Advanced Battery Credits initiative, announced today by Governor Jennifer Granholm. The first of its kind in the country, the law provides refundable tax credits to encourage companies to invest in electric vehicle engineering and advanced automotive battery research in Michigan.
