Not to be left out of the world premiere concept launches at the 2009 North American International Autoshow (NAIAS), VW launched an all-new vehicle that promises maximum driving pleasure while minimizing fuel consumption. Volkswagen is starting the new year right with the concept roadster called BlueSport. ?The BlueSport is a compact with clear Volkswagen passion. The car offers a powerful 2.0L, 179 HP Clean Diesel (2.0L TDI) with common rail injection and downstream NOx storage catalytic converter. At a low 1,750 rpm, the 2.0L turbo engine develops its maximum torque of 258 ft.-lbs. A 6-speed, automatic dual clutch transmission transfers this power to the rear wheels.
