DETROIT ? While discussing the 2010 and 2011 Fiesta and Focus drivetrains with some of Ford?s top propulsion engineers, some interesting body language revealed without actually telling us that Ford is going to be moving the sub and sub-compact class fuel economy bar for everyone in very short order. The Lincoln C concept showcased Ford?s newest combination of an EcoBoosted four-cylinder engine mated to a dual-clutch 6-speed transmission. Featuring a 1.6-liter Direct Injected and turbo-charged engine mated to Ford?s all-new dry, dual-clutch PowerShift six-speed transmission, the Lincoln C produces an estimated 180 HP and 180 ft.-lbs. of torque while achieving a projected 43 mpgUS highway.
