Ok... I feel pretty stupid but I finally get it now. I've been trying for weeks to get my head around what XGauge was doing. Took WFEC and the revelation that we were flying blind without Battery Amps on the Prius to focus my efforts.

Well here's what I found. First let qualify that this is CAN-bus only. Since I'm a Prius Pilot that's all...

I'm working on replacing the battery blend door actuator myself. Once I'm done, though, I need a way to clear the code from the PCM, right? Will Scan Gauge do that? Or does the code clear itself? I have ForScan Lite, but not ScanGauge. Wondering if I need to order a Scan Gauge....

I have a 2000 Honda Civic HX with a 14 gallon tank. I have dared to use only 12 gallons before filling up. The needle has dipped below "E," and am thus discouraged to drive any more miles before re-fueling. The last 2 gallons appear to be unusable.

I just bought a Scanguage II, and am wondering what to enter into it regarding gas tank fuel size, because of not being able to use all 14 gallons. Should I enter 14, or only what I believe to be the portion of the tank that is usable.

Just bought a Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, so for the sake of this post, please ignore my sig (if it is still visible).

1. I understand that during EV mode, the engine is switched off and the car is propelled by battery power only. However, when I watch my scangauge, it shows that during EV mode operation, instead of "9999", I see random numbers in the range of "~200-800 mpg".

2. When my car is in EV mode at stops, the scanguage shows my "avg mpg" for the trip to be dropping (24.6, 24.4, 24.3, 24.2, etc)....

I have posted this here before...just an FYI

Before this year, I was all for things like this. I even went out and bought my own tool just for monitoring my vehicle while I was driving. I used it quite a bit, and still use it to pull codes, and check on general vehicle health. I used to have it plugged in ALL the time in my truck. Here is what I had.

I was using the obd2 apps for android and it displays my TPS accurately from 0-100 (5-6% at idle since its dbw), but use of my cell phone consistently is not practical.

I drive a 2004 civic lx 5 speed, i'm in college and enjoy saving all the money i can.

Everyone has been telling me to get a sg2 so when amazon had a cyber monday flash sale for $107 shipped i bit the bullet.

So far i calibrated the engine size, the cutoff to 4 above tps at idle (so cutoff is 13) and mode to hybrid (so that it won't think i'm using fuel when i turn the engine off at long stops/ext).

Aside from the first 2 tank fill up calibrations are there any more i...

However, sometimes when I start the ignition, the sgii provides incorrect data on 2 of the gauges. All 4 slots display readings, but MPG is at 9999, letting me know the "glitch" is occurring (if I look). I confirm the glitch by going into the menu and returning to the gauges, at which point upper left and lower right are blank. The displayed gauges are accurate and changing the specific gauge reading does not fix the problem.

When this happens, I park, turn off the ignition, wait for the sgii to turn off,...
