The channel features two brothers who drive various cars and share their thoughts and opinions. The content is usually light on technology, spending lots of time sharing mostly reformatted press release content.
The brothers bought themselves a 2025 Camry Hybrid XSE as a long term tester about six months ago.
For the video, they set up a hypermiling challenge between the two brothers and a third friend who joined in. They mapped out a 20 mile route through the southwest quadrant of Lexington, KY. It's a mix of traffic...

Just filled up on my first full tank (I first filled up at 177 miles) and using ODO got 42.66 mpg. Car MPG tank gauge said 45.1, so mine is optimistic just like many others have reported.508.9 miles used 11.93 gal. Used same pump and used the fill it until it almost goes on the ground method, very full.
This tank was about 65% hwy. and 35% town.
If I factored in the 3% ODO error (which I checked against 2 different GPS's), it would be 43.94mpg, but I feel to compare with other reports, I should just use the ODO uncorrected reading.
I varied speed on highway since it is a new car. I also...

I was surprised to not see this posted in this forum but feel obligated to warn everyone.

Keep an eye on your coolant overflow tank and if you see the coolant level going down leaving no coolant on your garage floor there is a good chance that your water pump is failing. My '09 TCH has a little over 52k miles on it and is 7 months short of 5 years old. I saw the coolant level was low so I had Toyota check it out and replace the pump as part of the power train warranty. I have read that many Toyota Camry owners are having water pump problems so it is smart to have it checked out...

I did two more odometer tests. Last weekend on a trip over 100 miles, I checked ODO vs: GPS.100 miles odo equaled 103.2 miles GPS.(Did this both ways)
After that a friend questioned accuracy of GPS and suggested checking with mile markers.
Today, I did a 30 mile check.
At 10 miles per marker = 9.7 ODO
At 20 miles marker = 19.4 ODO
At 30 miles marker = 29.0 ODO
Gps was very, very close to mile markers, within a few hundred feet in 30 miles.
I stopped at 1st mile marker and set GPS, Trip ODO both to zero.
I stopped at 30 mile marker to get end reading.
So, my ODO is off(low) by 3.2%...
Much to my surprise, I easily managed over 42MPG with Winter fuel and tire psi set to 40. I bought an engine block heater at the end of this tank and as soon as I get a timer will start using it consistently. In one experiment...
Raised the seat and much less confinement on the right elbow. I also like the better visibility with the seat all the way up. Front tires still had 45 lbs in them and the car 'danced' all the way home in cross winds. Lowered it to 35 and the hunting/dancing was gone. Very positive...
