My bad! Forget to covert 2 entries to mpgUS
Today ( and tomorrow ) in the Honda. 30 deg F in Naperville and
Elk Grove. 35.1 miles , 45.8 MPG.
Not so bad. Filled up the Prius yesterday. $2.099 for Exxon E10.
565.0 miles , fcd = 62.5 x .943 = 58.9 MPG.
Hey, even when adjusted down to 50, that's still noteworthy in cold weather. Kudos.
Wednesday night, was on the way to the motorway but hit standing traffic so squeezed off on detour #3, 41°F:
44.6 / 20.4
Thursday morning, non-motorway route, 38°F, called in on the way to fill-up:
48.4 / 14.6
Miles on tank: 589.9
Calc. MPG : 48.0mpg
Calc. Range: 62.5 miles (allowing for extra in tank)
FCD Range: 35
FCD MPG : 50.0 MPG (4.0% over-report)
UG MPG : 49.04 MPG (2.1% over-report)
No. of trips: 21
Average trip length: 28.1
Average speed 35mph
Driving time on tank: 16hrs 51mins
Days since last fill: 13 - quickest full tank used ever
Ave. Temperature: 40.3°F
Ave. no. of people in car: 1.36
Pmpg for the tank: 68.4
FCD over-report for tank 74 will remain at 5.4% so I'll adjust the indicated numbers down by that.

52.0 / 5.6
Today , in the Prius. in Naperville.
35.1 miles , fcd = 60.1 x .943 = 56.7 MPG.
Could be worse. But no highway driving until Sunday afternoon ,
which will help.

Sunday morning went 3UP plus dog to see eldest daughter and go for a walk, 41°F, mostly tailwind SSE9:

44.2 / 19.1 - return 44°F, mostly headwind SSE14

Today in the Honda , 25 deg F in Naperville when I got to work.
35.1 miles , fcd = 44.3 MPG. Taking highway home . it won't
be much warmer at 3:00 when I leave here. If I get 45 MPG
on the way home , I won't cry.
Not sure if I posted this last week : After 5500 miles of
driving the Honda since I bought it in June , oil life is at 50%.
I am going to do exactly what I did with my 08 Civic : follow
the Maintenance Minder. When it says 5% oil life remaining , I will
change oil then.
It's a new day and the grind continues. Kudos!!!
Today , 20 deg F in Naperville , 19 in Elk Grove. 35.1 miles ,
fcd = 55.1 x .943 = 52.0 MPG.
Scenic route home tonight , hopefully 60 MPG for that trip.
Monday night, busy, motorway route, 48°F, mostly crosswind SSW10:
44.2 / 21.4
Tuesday morning, motorway route, 43°F, mostly crosswind SSW8:
50.9 / 21.5
Tank down 0.3 at 47.4 (FCD 50.0 - just clinging on!) / 171.5 / Range 515 . Guess gauge F_«««|««««E . UG up 0.1 at 49.2 / DTE 493
Lost pip 1 (of 8) @ 133 miles
In the Honda today. 25 deg F.
35.1 miles , fcd = 43.0 MPG
Yesterday , going home in the Prius ( scenic route )
I did 32.1 miles, fcd = 66.9 x .943 = 63.1 MPG.
It was a tiny bit warmer then , but not much.
A lot better than the 52 MPG ( thirsty route ) on the way to work.
Nice one, Edwin.
Thanks , Bill. No highway , 40-45 mph speeds on two-lane roads ,
a bit of gliding on the 4-lane roads. VERY familiar roads.
Last night, motorway route, 45°F crosswind S7:
46.6 / 21.5
This morning, motorway route, wet, 47°F, crosswind S16:
51.9 / 21.5
Tank up 0.3 at 47.7 (FCD 50.3) / 214.5 / Range 470 . Guess gauge F_«««|««««E . UG up 0.3 at 49.5 / DTE 455
Bravo! You fought and earned back the 0.3 average you lost in the prior update, great for this time of year.
Still in the Honda.
10.0 miles , fcd = 40.8 MPG. Could be worse.
Home on the highway tonight , cruise control at 55 MPH.
I'll be tired later... have to work the job then deal with the winter storm that's still dropping snow in New England. Temperatures are in the upper teens so at least not wet and heavy.
