The “Silly Season” is upon us and the first heavy is LA. Wayne Gerdes – CleanMPG – Nov. 25, 2017 The automobile. Just the thought of purchasing a brand new technological marvel is enough to stir the soul for many of us. Today however there is the discussion that Gen Y’ers – those born between the mid-1980s and early 2000s - have sworn off the automobile with disdain, indifference, a burden due to heavily urban locations, or simply the lack of income to afford today’s modern 4-wheel transportation solutions. Some of which has brought about ride share companies like UBER and LYFT to cover the non-owner’s daily transportation needs. Coming back full circle, when the youngest drivers graduate, begin climbing the employee rungs with higher incomes, start a new family, and again desire to live in the suburbs with a multi-thousand square foot home and all the latest conveniences, they too will want to fill their empty 2 or 3-car garage space with a shiny new automobile. It is the way we are wired despite prognostications to the latter including hundreds of thousands to millions of autonomous driverless pods UBER’ing us back and forth between our homes, our work, and entertainment venues, and even vacation destinations. Having grown Millennial and Gen Y children of my own, I can see their personal desires overcoming practicality as has been the case for the last 110 years. Meaning this industry has a long way to go before invasion of the “Autonomous Pods.” The new metal... 2017 LA Auto Show One of the world's largest auto shows returns with more than 1,000 vehicles on public display at the LA Convention Center. 2019 Audi A8 Luxury and unsurpassed safety rolled into one. Wayne Gerdes – CleanMPG – Nov. 25, 2017 The all-new 4th gen A8 is destined to lead the luxury sedan segment yet again. The all-new A8 delivers an unparalleled interior design, seamless connectivity, and a safety portfolio second to none. 2019 Audi A8 Design The exterior of the all-new 2019 A8 blends craftsmanship with technology. The front is highlighted by the Four Rings brands signature Singleframe grille while the rear features a full-length strip of dynamic lighting. The exterior lighting is state-of-the-art when equipped with HD Matrix LED headlights and rear lamps with OLED technology. Based on the ASF multi-material frame technology, the body of the 2019 A8 consists of 58 percent aluminum parts paired with hot form-steel and ultra-high strength carbon fiber reinforced polymer components, creating a dramatically stronger body in white over the outgoing model. The resulting superior rigidity of the body provides the basis for the precise handling, excellent ride comfort and quiet cabin. The well-appointed interior has been simplified with attention to material selection and details. Rear-seat passengers experience advancements through a host of relaxation and comfort features, from available, fully customizable Matrix LED reading lights to reclining and multi-setting heated massage seating. Further enhancing the rear-passenger experience are electrically height-adjustable comfort head restraints, footrests, a long center heated console and arm rests, four-zone auto climate, the Rear Seat Entertainment system comprising of two Audi tablets, and a detachable Rear Seat Remote. Stored in the center console, this smartphone-sized OLED touch control remote allows passengers to conveniently customize their seating and infotainment preferences. Completing the luxury cabin, for ultimate relaxation, the right rear passenger seat offers an available heated massaging footrest discretely positioned on the rear of the front passenger seat. The A8 interior offers a serene respite from the hectic life that surrounds it. 2019 Audi A8 Technology The A8’s award-winning rotary/push-button control and touchpad carries on while a new instrument panel w/ a 10.1” central touchscreen display that, when turned off, blends almost invisibly into the high-gloss black surround. When the system is started, the user interface illuminates with a soft greeting and a new, simple graphic configuration. Like a smartphone, the menu structure is intuitive and flat, and the user can freely arrange the feature icons according to their personal preferences. The intelligent system can store up to seven profiles, allowing each driver an entirely unique and customized experience, from lighting preferences and media favorites to preset navigation inputs. The driver interacts with the infotainment system through two large stacked touch displays positioned in the center console. The lower control panel, previously consisting of numerous individual buttons, is now a simple touch surface to operate the climate control and convenience features, as well as enter text through a keyboard or freeform handwriting. When the driver selects across the platform, the system offers confirmation through an audible and tactile ‘click’ that helps the driver use the system without diverting his or her eyes. All audible and haptic feedback can be configured to the drivers’ wishes. <-- Audi may regret dropping the control buttons and switchgear in short order… The A8 voice interaction extends to a new level of search commands as well as driver-activated functions in the vehicle. Information on destinations and media is either available on-board or is sourced from the cloud at LTE speeds. The driver can make commands with the voice recognition system and dialogue manager understanding complete sentences for navigation searches or requests for adjustment to HVAC or media. A multifunction steering wheel and an optional head-up display round off the new infotainment offering. The all-new, MMI Navi plus functions as a multifaceted media center, using the modular infotainment platform in its latest version, the MIB 2+. It integrates high processing power to seamlessly link the multi-surface system, including the standard Audi virtual cockpit. Connectivity throughout the vehicle, as well as an onboard Wi-Fi Hotspot for up to eight passenger devices is offered through LTE capability. Audi connect includes an all-new HERE-powered map and navigation system debuting in the A8 that can learn over time driven routes, so that the system can make smarter route suggestions. The new myAudi app enables a greater range of smartphone-controlled vehicle selections, including myAudi Navigation. This time-saving function becomes a personal mobility manager, where a route started on a smartphone and continued on the on-board system upon entering the vehicle can be passed back to the smartphone to guide the occupant to their next destination – by foot or public transport. Bang & Olufsen brings its leading audio expertise to the A8, adding 3D surround sound to the luxury sedan for the first time. This premium sound offering delivers a new audio experience encapsulating the driver and passengers. The music unfolds exactly how it’s experienced in the concert hall. 2019 Audi A8 Drivetrain A new turbocharged 3.0L V6 is paired with a new 48-volt electric mild-hybrid drivetrain. This 10Ah Li-Ion battery and new belt driven alternator starter (BAS) has been engineered to support the TFSI engine and functions as the main vehicle electrical system enabling the advanced infotainment and luxury equipment including the driver assistance systems and electromechanical suspension in the A8. This system allows for braking regeneration to provide a more efficient and responsive driving experience. Bosch Bets on 48V Mild Hybrids The paired powertrains operate in conjunction with a fast and gently shifting eight speed AT and standard quattro AWD with a self-locking center differential. The available dynamic all-wheel steering allows the steering angles at the front and rear axles to be set independently of one another. It combines instantaneous response and steering behavior with improved driving stability, tightening the steering radius and offering improved performance at high and low speeds. This all-wheel steering remarkably shrinks the turning radius of the A8 long wheelbase to 38.7 ft, similar to that of an A4 sedan. Audi AI active suspension is an active electromechanical suspension system. It uses rapid electric actuators to increase or decrease the load on each wheel individually as a function of the driving situation for active and optimal control of the body, far quicker than available hydraulic systems currently on the market allow. The characteristics range from the gentle rolling of a premium sedan to the agility of a sports car, with the energy coming from the new 48V mild hybrid system. In daily driving conditions, this system allows the vehicle to intuitively adapt and effectively float above imperfections in the road, leading to an effortlessly premium ride. On vehicles equipped with the presense 360° system, the Audi active suspension also enhances passive safety systems through mitigating the impact of side collisions. In the event a potential side impact is detected through onboard sensors and camera systems at more than 15.5 mph, the body is raised by up to 3.1 in within half a second. As a result, the other vehicle collides with a more rigid zone of the side on the A8 sedan. Further preparing the cabin for possible impact, the vehicle simultaneously engages pre-collision preparation, optimizing the interior for possible impact. 2019 Audi A8 Driver Assistance Systems The 2019 A8 sets a new standard 40 unique driver assistance functions. Along with adaptive cruise assist, advanced collision mitigation and cross traffic assist, through its onboard sensors, cameras and laser, the A8 learned some even more ground breaking new tricks. The state-of-the-art Audi driver assistance platform adds an advanced intersection assist, helping to reduce the possibility of a collision with crossing traffic through early detection and emergency braking as well as maneuver assist with curb warning. The advanced maneuvering assist offers steering inputs and braking when navigating the tightest garage facilities, thus helping to avoid costly low speed impact with unseen walls, columns and other vehicles. Curb warning is achieved through two mirror mounted cameras and sensors to visually alert the driver of contact risk between the vehicle’s wheel and the curb that could result in damage. In addition to driver assistance systems, the A8 debuts an intelligent approach to parking assistance with the Audi AI park pilot and the Audi AI garage pilot. These systems offer convenience for the otherwise tedious task of parking by maneuvering, accelerating and braking the A8 on behalf of the driver into and out of tight parallel or perpendicular parking spaces. While the system takes control, the driver can relax hands-free in the vehicle or monitor the action from nearby with smartphone control. Both systems are activated using the AI button in the center console or through the myAudi smartphone app. The final component of the Audi suite of assistance technologies is conditional automated driving. The new A8 is the first production automobile developed specially for Level 3 automated driving. In A8 models equipped with Audi AI traffic jam pilot takes charge of driving in slow-moving traffic at up to 37 mph on freeways and highways where a physical barrier separates the directional traffic. The system is activated using the AI button on the center console. Traffic jam pilot meets the definition of a Level 3 automated vehicle system according to the Society of Automotive Engineers. Because traffic jam pilot can handle the full driving task – acceleration, steering and braking – when certain conditions are met, drivers can take their hands off the steering wheel until the car requires manual driver control again. This takeover request occurs before the system nears the limits of its capabilities. While system advancements are constantly being achieved, many factors must be in place to deliver a first of its kind technology. Audi continues to assess timing and will deliver the system when market readiness allows. The foundation of these advanced systems is the central driver assistance controller (zFAS). About the size of a tablet, this central controller continually merges the signals from all sensors into a differentiated model of the vehicle’s surroundings through its high-powered NVIDIA processors. Consisting of radar and ultra-sonic sensors, front rear and mirror mounted 360-degree cameras, and as an automotive manufacturer first, Audi has incorporated a laser scanner in series production - fully equipped, the new A8 has 24 unique sensors. The precise image of the vehicle surroundings created through these sensors are the underpinnings of the powerful suite of driver assistance systems in the Audi A8. Arriving to the U.S. market in late 2018, the A8 delivers a transformation for Audi in the luxury market. The all-new flagship sedan sets the bar for the brand’s pursuits in design, technology, performance and driver assistance systems to which all future model lines will aim. If only Audi had supplied a more efficient drivetrain in this full size luxury offering!

Hyundai Set to Unveil the US-Production Version of the KONA CUV at the LA Auto Show Hyundai unveiled the latest vehicle in its expanding line-up of stylish SUVs, the Kona compact CUV. Wayne Gerdes – CleanMPG – Nov. 25, 2017 From the global intro in June, we know most of what is in store for U.S. residents. The live stream of the press conference is embedded directly below. 2018 Hyundai KONA 2018 Hyundai Kona Exterior The Kona is a B segment CUV with a long wheel base, short overhangs, and protective hard-plastic cladding surrounding the lower body create a sense of toughness. The Hyundai Kona incorporates the brand-new cascading grille with an internal mesh pattern is highlighted by modern LED lighting and thin daytime running lights (DRLs). The roof is floating with a two-tone color scheme. Out back, the slim brake lights, turn indicators and reverse lamp are placed in a separate configuration that begins at the C-pillar garnish. The CUVs ground clearance and an elevated seating position ensure better visibility for drivers and increases comfort on long journeys. 2018 Hyundai Kona Interior Moving inside, the Kona is said to have the largest passenger and cargo volume in the segment although no specs for these attributes were released. The volume statement arises thanks to an optimized underfloor layout, including the 4WD drivetrain and exhaust system, a new intercooler layout and setting for the transmission to minimize intrusion into the cabin space to reduce central tunnel intrusion. The rear suspension component layout is optimized for a lower floor and seating position to deliver class-leading levels of headroom and ease of access for rear occupants. Designers also optimized interior space with flat folding split rear seats with a two-level loading floor that allows easy access for a bicycle or golf club storage. The global 5”, 7”, and 8” central displays incorporates Hyundai’s latest advanced infotainment. We may see the 7” on the base trims and 8” with the NAVI equipped Kona’s just as we see in the Elantra, Tucson, and Sonata. The mechanical air vents and functional button arrangement reflect the functionality of the exterior. The Display Audio and HVAC controls are surrounded by soft touch plastics. 2018 Hyundai Kona Drivetrain(s) The new Kona is offered with the Elantra’s 147 hp and 132 lb-ft. of torque Atkinsonized 2.0L I4 mated to a 6-speed AT allows a 0 to 60 time of 9.8 seconds and a top speed of 120 mph. It can also be equipped with the Elantra Sport’s 175 hp and 195 lb-ft. of torque 1.6T-GDI mated to the same 7-speed DCT offering a 0 to 60 time of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. I suspect we will receive these two engines while Europe will also receive both a 3-cylinder 1.0-T GDI and 1.6L TD I4. Like most Hyundai’s, there are three different driving modes (Sports, Normal and Eco) changing gear-shift patterns. 2018 Hyundai Kona Chassis Underpinning the Kona is a 51.8 percent Advanced High Strength Steel chassis with McPherson struts up front. The optional AWD drive system includes a multi-link rear end whereas the FWD variant receives a much less expensive Torsion beam system. That was not an inexpensive design decision. Like the Elantra, the Kona uses almost 375 linear ft. of structural adhesives providing additional torsional rigidity and reducing weight. 2018 Hyundai Kona Safety On the safety front the Kona can be equipped with a Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system using the car’s front-facing camera and radar to detect imminent collision and avoid impact or minimize damage by braking autonomously. The Kona can also be equipped with Lane Keeping Assist (LKA); High Beam Assist (HBA); and Driver Attention Warning (DAW). The car’s radar system(s) also assists with the Blind-Spot Warning (BSW) to detect approaching vehicles that may be obscured from view during high speed driving. I am not sure how the forward-looking radar detects potential Blind Spot intrusion so I suspect the (s) includes two radar modules under both sideview mirrors. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is also available. 2018 Hyundai Kona Infotainment The Kona includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. HD Radio, rear view camera, 4G Wi-Fi connectivity, and Qi wireless smartphone charging. I am a huge evangelist for this tech and if you are looking, do not skip it no matter what car, truck, or CUV/SUV you are considering. An optional Heads-Up Display (HUD) will also be available. 2018 Hyundai Kona Basic Dimensions (in) Overall length: 164” Overall width: 70.9” Overall height: 61.0” Wheelbase: 102.3” The Kona joins Tucson, Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport in a growing line-up of Hyundai CUVs. The KONA went on sale in Korea in June, with North American availability scheduled before the years end.

As soon as I have a LA Auto Show debut Livestream link, I will provide it here.
I love the LA Auto Show. It has been 20 years since I lived in the high desert area and close enough to see it, though. I was building an airplane and I would drive my motorcycle over the San Gabriels and fight traffic to the convention center to scope out possible powerplants. There, I could see several engines on display and judge how they would fit in my plane. I remember looking over a GM diesel V8 on display and a young woman, seeing my interest, approached me. "Ask me anything you want. Anything. I helped design this engine." Wow. No kidding? So I said, "How much does it weigh?" and her whole face fell apart. She didn't know. And I felt so bad. Anyway, I would love to go there again and check out the Mazdas.

The BMW C-Evolution Scooter will be available in California showrooms in Spring 2018 with an MSRP of $13,750.
The C-Evolution poses no threat to the Brammo performance-wise , but it compares nicely to the Zero. Expensive ? Sure it is. But this is probably a good bike. OTOH , $14K buys a lot of commuter train tickets.

Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are also available. Steering Responsive Headlights are standard on Limited and Touring models. The 2019 Ascent also offers available Reverse Automatic Braking that apply the vehicle’s brakes if an obstacle is detected while reversing. Standard on the top-level Touring trim is the new Front View Monitor that displays a 180-degree view of the front of the vehicle on the multi-function display by using a camera located in the front grille. Additional new driver assist technology standard on Touring is the Smart Rear View Mirror which displays a view from behind the vehicle from a camera mounted above the rear gate glass, when activated. This feature benefits the driver in poor visibility to the rear of the vehicle due to passengers or cargo blocking the view. A Rain Sensing Windshield Wiper system that automatically operates and monitors the wiper speed based on the amount of rainfall is standard on Touring. The Ascent’s new platform integrates the latest version of the Subaru ring-shaped reinforcement frame design, proven over nearly two decades to provide excellent occupant collision protection. Front-end structural details help bolster safety for pedestrians. Inside, the Ascent fills out its safety roster with the Subaru Advanced Frontal Airbags, a driver’s knee airbag, standard front side pelvis/torso airbags and side curtain airbags that offer front and rear outboard seat coverage. In emergency braking, Brake Assist immediately applies pressure up to the ABS limit to help increase braking effectiveness. The Brake Override System ensures that the engine power will be cut when the brake pedal and accelerator are pressed simultaneously. 2019 Subaru Ascent Trims The 2019 Subaru Ascent will be offered in four trim levels: Base, Premium, Limited and Touring. The base starts with an extensive roster of standard features that includes EyeSight with automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist; a 6.5-inch multimedia touchscreen; Android Auto and Apple CarPlay; four USB ports; three zone automatic climate control; automatic power door locks and power side mirrors; raised roof rails; second-row bench seat (8 passengers); 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with silver finish: 19 cup and bottle holders; multi-function display; and security system with engine immobilizer. Standard on all models is Auto Vehicle Hold which keeps the vehicle in position at a stop so the driver does not need to continuously depress the brake pedal. For the first time in a Subaru, a convex cabin-view mirror that allows the driver and front passenger to view occupants in the second and third row is standard equipment. The Premium trim adds Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert; towing capability up to 5,000 lb.; power driver seat; unique spill-repellent cloth upholstery in either black or ivory; 8.0-inch multimedia touchscreen; Wi-Fi connectivity; body-color side mirrors; privacy glass; leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift lever handle; rear seat climate controls; 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels in gray with machine finish; and the All-Weather Package with heated exterior mirrors, 3-mode heated front seats and windshield wiper de-icer. The unique interior features Java Brown leather seats and upholstery; upgraded leather steering wheel and woodgrain-pattern matte finish accent trim. Standard three-mode ventilated driver and front passenger seats enhance the comfort in the Touring model. A total of eight UBS ports and 120-volt power outlet for charging tablets, phones and laptops is standard. The Touring includes all standard features from the Limited and adds the SUBARU STARLINK 8.0-inch Multimedia Navigation system, Harman Kardon premium audio system with 14 speakers, panoramic power moonroof and rain-sensing wipers. To improve the driver’s view, a unique Smart Rear-View Mirror and a 180-degree front-view camera complete Touring’s comprehensive list of features. The all-new Ascent will be built in Subaru’s plant in Indiana along with the Outback, Legacy and Impreza. 2019 Subaru Ascent With pups afterwards! Hi All: The real stars of the 2019 Subaru of America Ascent reveal and the numerous ❤ adverts are the pups! Beautiful, calm, and are truly wonderful to meet. A highlight of the 2017 #LAAutoShow. Excluding the automobiles of course. ❤ The vehicle? Meh... Wayne
Hi All: From my walks around the #LAAutoShow floor, Nissan once again owns "Best of Show" display! The Star Wars theme tie into the brands top selling Rogue is beyond cool... The public is going to ❤ it! Wayne
Hi All: From the floor of the LA Auto Show, the Clarity PHEV was on display showing off its high end interior. 2018 Honda Clarity Touring PHEV-48 The most surprising highlight, albeit a small one, from the 2017 #LAAutoShow was not a vehicle per se but was found inside the Touring trim of the 2018 Honda #Clarity PHEV. While the A-pillars are still plastic, the front and rear door inserts look and feel like an Alcantara suede. They are made out of an advanced Bioplastic. A very high-end luxury looks and feel with a great environmental story. 2018 Honda Clarity PHEV-47 Details Front door including the new suede like material insert and the faux wood window lift control surrounds. Love this! Rear door and this beautiful insert. Notice the vents include a full brightwork bezel surround inserted into this cool new material with real stitching. The alcantara suede like dash inserts w/ dual stitching and faux wood upper trim was also surprisingly upscale. Great stuff here! Notice the radio has no volume or tuning knobs, a second weak link in the chain. A very attractive dash and interior. The appearance and tactile feel of the wheel controls are a weak link. The trunk has a lower center hump which allows maybe 14.5 cu. ft. of cargo volume despite what was posted above? A guess on my part right now. It also includes a pass-thru. Wayne
Hi All: LA is the first major Auto Show in the US. Not the first but the first major where new vehicles are announced. What makes LA significant is the std. new model timing. 2018 MY vehicles whether carry overs, recently refreshed, next generation, or a new model usually have a fall release which coincides with the LA Auto Show late November schedule. Detroit in January has major releases because it is in the Big 3s back yard. In many cases, they are early reveals of next year's models. Washington is quickly becoming a major as politics are so intertwined with business. Chicago is just a massively huge show for the consumer to see just about everything. NY in April is a show for late reveals that were not ready for Detroit. There may be other opinions with vastly better data behind them as these are my own thoughts after years of attending. For the first time in my 14 years of attending Auto Show Press Days I can say the media room lunch was not only great but the best I have ever had. Fresh salad and dressing, Roast beef in BBQ sauce, potato wedges, corn, peach cobbler, and fruit. #LAAutoShow, thank you for that. I am sure the same sentiment would be forwarded from all that attended Press Days today. LA Auto Show Press Days Buffet Wayne
Hi All: A few of the work and a true performance vehicle(s) from the #LAAutoShow ... First is the 2017 Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) Truck Rodeo Truck of Texas (#TXTruckRodeo) and Motor Trend 2018 Truck of the Year: Ford’s F-150 including the Off-Road Truck of Texas in the form of the award winning Raptor. 2018 Ford F-150 Motor Trend Truck of the Year. 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor. Next on the list is the most practical work truck to have ever hit the American Roadway in the form of Ram Trucks 1500 with the multiple award winning 3.0L EcoDiesel. If I were purchasing a truck today, this would be that truck. 2017 MY only unfortunately. 2017 RAM 1500 w/ the EcoDIesel 240 hp and 420 lb ft. of torque through an 8-speed AT w/ maximum towing capacity of 9,200 pounds = Most efficent work truck available. The fourth and final pic is a well thought out display of the 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon. The hottest thing on "2-wheels" as the Demon launches from the tree with its front wheels leaping skyward. 2018 Dodge Demon Wayne
Hi All: Of all the vehicles at the 2017 #LAAutoShow, my choice for the most practical and "Best of Show" goes to Kia and its 2018 #Niro PHEV-26. 2018 Kia Niro PHEV-26 on the Kia Auto Show Stage Over and above the Niro HEV, the PHEV adds three trims with the same EPA ratings on gasoline across the model lineup thanks in part to the same 16" alloys and tires on all three. The Niro PHEV efficiency detail includes 26-miles of all-electric range, a 48/44 mpg city/highway rating, and all the practicality of a CUV without the pain at the pump. The award winning UVO infotainment with Android Auto - Apple CarPlay is also std. but that system is garbage due to Apples poor programming - and Clari-Fi for the EX Premium adds to the enjoyment of the most efficient Compact Crossover ever offered. The best feature of the Niro PHEV is that all trims will arrive with Radar Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning and Lane Keep Assist System standard. The EX and EX Premium trims include Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist. The EX Premium also includes Front and Rear Park Assist sensors. Although pricing was not released today, it will by the time it reaches Kia showrooms before years end. Wayne
Hi All: My second to final automotive post from the #LAAutoShow comes from what I hope the public will be able to experience starting tomorrow - Dec. 1 through 10th - during the Auto Shows Public days. This final pic is of a 2018 Nissan #LEAF during a short Automotive Press Ride and Drive loop. I will not be taking the wheel until December 8th showing how important this super efficient battery electric is to the Nissan lineup. 2018 Nissan LEAF SL The all-new second gen LEAF starts at just $30,875 incl. the $885 D&H Charge before the $7,500 Fed TC - if available and if a future first buyer qualifies? - and in Calif. a $1,500 State tax rebate + HOV Lane Access. The all-new 2018 LEAF EV provides 150-miles of all-electric range from a single charge, ProPILOT Assist - RCC and LKA - plus the one pedal driving solution called e-Pedal. Better yet, the interior and exterior have been massively improved! Enough so that those taking the wheel will not be driving a bulbous "roly poly" green machine but dare I say a hot looking hatch? 2018 Nissan LEAF MSRPs incl. the $885 D&H charge look like this: LEAF S: $29,875 LEAF SV: $33,475 LEAF SL: $37,085 The LEAF is scheduled to reach showrooms in early 2018. My fingers are crossed that the consumer LA Auto Show goer will be able to experience this great all-electric offering even before I do! Wayne
