Honda September 2016 Sales Overview In September, American Honda (Honda/Acura combined) sold 133,655 vehicles in the U.S., down 0.1 percent below the 133,750 the brand sold in September of 2015. YTD sales of 1,228,380 vehicles is up 3.3 percent over the 1,188,566 vehicles sold through the same period and over the same number of selling days in 2015. Honda cars and trucks on their own accord achieved a new best September sales result in history with 120,842 new vehicles reaching new owners drives, up 1.5 percent over the previous September record when 119,046 were sold. Honda truck sales set new September sales record, gaining 8.5 percent on sales of 69,069 units. Honda September 2016 Sales Highlights The CR-V continues on a roll with a new September all-time sales high. Sales of 31,884 vehicles was up 6.5 percent over the 29,925 sold in September of 2015. YTD sales of 263,493 vehicles was up 1.5 percent over the 259,499 sold through the same period of 2015. The hardly talked about but most efficient vehicle in the entire Honda line up, the refreshed and more efficient 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, picked up a bit with sales of 1,160 vehicles, up 35.8 percent over the 854 sold in September of 2015. September 2016 U.S. Automobile Market Share Detail In September, Ford’s U.S. market share was down a significant 0.9 percent. On a volume basis, September of 2016 US Auto sales of 1.43 million vehicles was down a slight 0.7 percent below September of 2015s 1.44 million vehicle sales result. 2016 YTD sales of 13.05 million is up 0.2 percent above the 13.02 million vehicles sold through the same period of 2015 with the same number of selling days. Honda Canada September 2016 Sales Up 0.9% with 17,597 Vehicles Sold Honda Canada reported September sales of 17,597 vehicles, up 0.9 percent over the 17,444 sold in September of 2015. YTD sales of 141,825 vehicles is up 5.8 percent over the 134,104 sold through the same period of 2015. The Honda Division on its own reported September sales of 15,609 units, up 2.7 percent over the 15,204 sold in September of 2015. This result was a new best September sales record for Honda Canada.
