All-New 2015 Ford F-150 Aerodynamic Details
Ford?s designers had a challenging goal to meet when they set out to redesign the world?s best-selling pickup with an efficiency end game in mind that did not encroach on its functionality. The new F-150 features squared-off edges, shapes and surfaces that work together to allow F-150 to slip through the air more efficiently. Wind Tunnel Testing Strategically designed and located front edges enable airflow to hug the surfaces at the front of the truck while rear corners are designed to allow the air to cleanly separate from the vehicle to reduce drag increasing turbulence. The improved aerodynamics help increase efficiency by reducing the work performed by the engine to overcome aerodynamic drag.
