Since my post yesterday about the complex eco-calculus of the Toyota Prius, my e-mail box has been flooded. Lots of it is very supportive (thanks!), but the usual anti-Prius diatribes, perpetuating already-debunked Prius myths, are in there too.
I thought I’d reprint a note from reader Dave Hawkins, who, in a single message, clears up a number of misconceptions about the Prius. I don’t intend to turn this blog into a Prius forum, but Dave writes well and clearly, and I thought I’d kill a lot of birds with one stone by reprinting it here.
