Yaris 5-door hatch arrives for 2009

Poster: xcel (see this users gallery) As previously reported, Toyota will be offering the new five-door Yaris along with the std. three-door Liftback and four-door Sedan. Yaris sales are currently running a few hundred below 65,000 through mid-year with an expected 130,000 in sales expected if present sales trends continue. With the additional 5-door hatch model added to the lineup plus the included new std. safety features, Toyota believes they will see the same sales for calendar year 2009. The new 5-door is projected to compromise approximately a third of all Yaris sales.
