What Were They Thinking - Taken 04-13-2008

Photo Details
Poster: Delta Flyer  (see this users gallery)

Date: April 13, 2008 at 12:30pm
Place: 16th Street along US75 in Plano, Texas
Vehicle: Older (80's?) Chevy pickup
Sighted by: Delta Flyer on the side of the road

I was waiting for Wayne to return from one of his clinics and decided to walk along the US75 access road. This older pickup truck gunned from 16th Street down the access road. Got to 60mph in about 300 yards - apparent as it was rapidly fading in the picture. Tires were approaching monster truck size - muffler was about 110 decibels.

Now for the bad part - what happens to the guys in the back if the driver turns or brakes suddenly? Did you know someplaces either have laws or are considering restraints for children and secured carriers for pets? It's nearly a daily event that a rollover fatality is recorded in the Dallas/Fort Worth area - this is one waiting to happen.

Just sounds like your standard Darwin award. I'm sure they had a fire(ball) of their own making to get to.
