Poster: xcel (see this users gallery) The French designed Venturi Astrolab may be the answer to many of our current climate problems today. With upper body panel(s) consisting of 3.6 sq. meters of 21% efficient solar cels and a 7 kWh NiMH battery pack for energy storage, this little wonder can travel up to 10 miles per day on sun energy alone. The NiMH battery pack can be charged via std. outlet at 1.5 kW in < 5 hours. With its included 16 KW motor, the Astro Lab can achieve a total of 65 miles a day with a top speed of over 74 mph. Its battery pack is estimated to have > 2,500 cycles (165,000 miles or more) and at least 10 years of useful life.
