During the first major exercise of the F-22 Raptor in Alaska in 2006, the Lockheed Martin Raptors from the 27th Fighter Squadron shot down 144 “enemy” F-15s and F/A-18s in mock dogfights… Superior HUD’s, avionics and possibly even drivers? A mock dogfight between a Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet and a Raptor later that year saw the first simulated kill of a raptor as shown in the HUD.
