Poster: xcel (see this users gallery) Toyota UK will be exporting British-built Toyota Avensis' to Japan. The Toyota Avensis, built exclusively at Toyota’s UK factory in Burnaston, Derbyshire already ships the model to 47 countries worldwide. Beginning in September, you can add another. Namely the Avensis will be exported to the Japanese domestic market. Toyota plans to start limited sales of the Europe-produced "Avensis" station wagon in its home market beginning on September 19 The news was welcomed by the British Government as an endorsement of British manufacturing skills and quality.
