Poster: xcel (see this users gallery) If there were ever a reason for Honda to get serious about the mighty 2.2L iDTEC turbo-diesel within the US Acura Lineup, now would be the time. 2011 European Honda Accord… The 148 HP rated 2.2L i-DTEC super diesel has had internal frictional losses reduced to improve fuel economy and emissions. The result is an amazing 6% improvement in fuel economy for the sedan with both the 6-speed manual transmission and automatic. Remember that this is the same engine that provided over 85 mpgUS over a 1,705 mile review period in the 2007 Honda Civic iCDTi we drove a few years back.
