With changes in the environment, society and our ever increasing consumption of a depleting natural resource across all areas of daily life come at a cost. BMW understands these realities (at least in Europe anyway) and is moving forward with the technical development of electromobility as a way of combating these issues. But what does the term “e-mobility” actually represent? How does an electric drive system differ from a combustion engine? What is the potential of this technology? And what are the challenges the development engineers still need to overcome.
